Holly Robison is thrilled to have the good fortune to work as performer and producer with Improvised Jane Austen. Holly has been living and working in Chicago for several years as an actor, improviser, and director. Favorite roles include Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, Chris in Dancing At Lughnasa, Ellen in In the Wake, Jo in Independence, and Martha in The Children’s Hour. Directing credits include Picasso at the Lapin Agile, An Ideal Husband, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and numerous short productions. She is currently Producing Director with Ghostlight Ensemble Theatre Company, of which she is also a Founding Member and former Artistic Director. She has studied with various Chicago organizations, including Remy Bumppo, TUTA Theatre, Victory Gardens, Second City and First Folio Technique and Chekhov with Susan Hart and Jeffrey Carlson. Additionally, she completed the summer program, A Practical Approach to Directing at Yale School of Drama and is a member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab.. When not performing or directing, she can probably be found reading, watching British costume dramas, eating too much Indian food, and/or talking to her cat (don't judge, ok?).
